Call For Papers – AIS Summit 2015

The call for papers for the 2015 edition of the AIS Summit is open!

The 2015 edition of the conference focuses on:

Big Data in ship tracking

For Big Data in the maritime industry see the Big Data web site.
Contributions could cover the following aspects of Big Data:

  • Big Data in the maritime industry
  • Big Data technologies and solutions
  • Trends in Big Data technology
  • Towards Big Data solutions in ship tracking
  • Successful Big Data projects
  • Getting new insights with Big Data

Besides the conference’s main focus there will also be general talks about AIS ship tracking technology.

Besides the classical talks, the 2015 edition of the conference will also feature panel discussions

The conference will offer a wide range of talks on the topic, covering technological background, success stories from the industry and new or future use cases.

The AIS Summit 2015 will be held on 7 & 8 May 2015 in Hamburg, Germany.

Submissions for presentations will be accepted until January 31st, 2015.

The goal of the conference is professional exchange of knowledge and getting in contact with each other. This conference is not a platform for commercial promotion.

Presentations

Presentations are planned to last 15 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions and round up.

Presentations may be of any form:

  • PowerPoint
  • HTML
  • Prezzy
  • PDF

Audio, video or live demos make a presentation lively and are highly encouraged.

Posters

For the poster presentations we have reserved space at the back of the conference room and the lobby. We will provide you with the means to mount the poster.

The posters will be quickly introduced by our head of conference. At the beginning of the first break.
There are 3 coffee breaks of 30 minutes and 2 lunch breaks, enough time to get in talk with about your topic.

The posters should mainly focus on visual presentation of the topic.

The posters should be in portrait format and be approximately of size A0 (maximum 120 cm high x 90 cm wide – 47 in. high and 34 in. wide).
