Gerd Eiden is Director of the OHB – LuxSpace Satellite Service & Application department and leads LuxSpace’s AIS Data Services activities. Since 2009, he has played a key role in the technical development of AIS services, in particular satellite AIS.

He is currently focusing on novel space-based technologies for vessel tracking that overcome the known drawbacks of conventional AIS.
